We are a Pony Club Centre, and regularly run Pony Club activities throughout the year.
The Pony Club is a charitable organisation that has over 100,000 members around the world. As a Centre, we enable children who do not
have their own ponies to take part in similar activities to those who do. Membership is open to anyone under the age of 21 who wishes
to learn more about riding and horse care. An annual subscription is paid to the Pony Club, which includes Third party insurance.
The objectives of the Pony Club are:
- To encourage young people to ride and to learn to enjoy all kinds of sport connected with horses and riding.
- To provide instruction in riding and horsemanship and to instil in Members the proper care of their animals.
- To promote the highest ideals of sportsmanship, citizenship and loyalty, thereby cultivating strength of character and self-discipline.
Our members range from children as young as six who are just off the lead rein and learning to canter, right up to those of eighteen who take part in
dressage and jumping competitions. Pony Club activities include rally days, short courses, visits to places of interest such as our local Equine Hospital,
competitions, gymkhanas, polocrosse sessions and even a Christmas party! Each member will also work their way through the Pony Club tests and Achievement badges, thus keeping
a record of their progress as they learn more about horses and riding.
If you are interested in joining the Pony Club please speak to Anna at Reception for more information.
Please note that all Pony Club sessions must be booked in advance. We cannot accommodate any member who arrives without prior booking, and Pony Club
membership MUST be up-to-date to participate in all activities.
