IMPORTANT - New Booking Policy
From 1st September 2007 all private and semi-private lessons require payment in full at the time of
booking. You will now make and pay for your booking at the same time, which can be done either by card over the telephone
or in person. It should be noted that the cancellation policy still applies (see below). We have decided to change our
booking system for the private and semi-private lessons due to an increasing number of people cancelling on the day or simply not turning up to a
lesson that has been booked. As a business we find this unsustainable.
If appropriate notice is given the booking can be transferred once only. If you cancel on the day or do not turn up for your lesson then the
fee is forfeited. Refunds are not given.
Cancellation Fees
We require notice before 5pm the previous day if you wish to cancel your lesson.
Group Lessons
A fee of 50% of the total cost is charged on group lessons cancelled on the day, or for non-attendance of lessons.
Therefore the cancellation fee for children is £9.00 for an hour group and £7.50 for a half hour group. The cancellation fee
for adults is £10.00 for an hour group.
Private & Semi-Private Lessons
These are paid for in advance. If appropriate notice is given (i.e. before 5pm the previous day) the booking may be moved to another time once only.
After this the fee is forfeited.
Important Information
- We are open for lessons from Tuesday to Friday, 9.30am-9pm, and Saturday and Sunday 9.30am-5.30pm. We are closed on a Monday.
- On arrival please report to Reception, where you can make any bookings or enquiries.
- Hard hats and suitable footwear must be worn at all times when mounted. All hats must conform to the current safety standards (PAS 015, BSEN 1384, ASTM F1163).
We recommend that if you are buying a new hat you purchase one that carries the British Kitemark symbol. While this is not compulsory, it is recognised as a sign of
quality.
- Riding footwear should have a small heel and a smooth sole (NOT wellies or trainers). If you do not have your own hats and boots, we have a selection that
you are free to borrow for the duration of your lesson.
- Jodhpurs or comfortable trousers are acceptable to ride in, but shorts are not permitted. Body protectors are
advisable, especially when jumping.
- The lesson time includes mounting and dismounting.
Terms & Conditions
- Bookings may be made in person or over the telephone six days a week. Please note that office and telephone hours are Tuesday to Sunday, 9am – 5pm. An answer machine is in operation on Mondays only.
- We accept payment by cash, cheque with a valid cheque guarantee card, and all major debit/credit cards apart from American Express. All cheque payments require an extra 50p to cover bank charges.
- Mobberley Riding School Ltd reserves the right to change any instructor or horse/pony where necessary. Please note that ponies and instructors may be requested but not booked, as it is not possible to guarantee their availability.
