Half Term Side Saddle

The pony days held over the half term holidays gave our young riders the chance to try their hand at side saddle!

Side saddle

The ponies have been getting used to the side saddles and are now very confortable with them. Now it is up to the riders to perfect the art of riding this way.

Anyone can now come along for a side saddle lesson. We have saddles to fit horses and ponies so we can offer lessons to both adult and child riders.

Polocrosse Training

The polocrosse training sessions have been very well attended with quite a few new starters becoming hooked on the game and warmly welcomed by our more established players.

Closing date for entries is 1st March 2012

Good luck to all and we look forward to some super designs

Christmas News

Xmas fancy dress

Our Pony Day on Christmas Eve was enjoyed by a group of children who took the dressing up of themselves and their ponies very seriously indeed. Some fantastic costumes appeared and they gave the day a very festive feel.

Well done to all those who came in Christmassy attire throughout the day. You were all fab!

The polocrosse players had 2 great days of play with Amy and Becca and seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves.

xmas polocrosse

We will shortly be doing more polocrosse sessions and we look forward to seeing all our players there. Keep an eye on our Cheshire Polocrosse page on our website for further details. We will be updating this as soon as we have confirmed times and dates.

The adult riders who hacked out on New Year's Eve had a fantastic time with Emma and even stopped for the photo shot on Lindow common.

New year hack

The horses clearly enjoyed themselves too and even the weather was reasonable, staying dry for most of the time. We will be organising more hacks during the coming year for our experienced regular adult riders. Watch out for details on our notice board.

Ashbrook Open Day

Solo & Benny

Our Pony Club was asked at very short notice to help with a display at Ashbrook Equine Hospital on 16 July 2011.

Once again we joined Cheshire Hunt North in a simplified version of the display we did last year at the Festival of the Horse called "All Things Pony Club". With only one practice we were ready to go.

On the day it was very wet but all went well. Emma reported that the horses were well behaved and we all looked very smart - once again a credit to the riding school. Well done to everyone.
