As a Trustee and the Chairman of the Mid Cheshire Riding for the Disabled, Pam Rigby has taken fundraising to a new level!
At the beginning of July, Pam took part in a 100 mile charity ride on the Tuli Trail across Botswana. Accompanied by neighbour
Carol Quilliam, she completed the epic trek and came back safe and sound.
"It was more tiring than I expected, but a wonderful experience and a brilliant way to see the country and wildlife," she said.
Both Pam and Carol have each raised over £1000 for the Mid Cheshire Riding for the Disabled funds, and the group are very grateful
for all the sponsorship.
The journey involved trekking though areas populated by wild, dangerous game and sleeping rough with only a horse and many unknown
creepy crawlies for company! Not only has Pam returned with more exciting tales of life on the plains, she has also, with some
help, made an amateur film of her experience riding the trails! The video was shown at the Barn Disco, and was much enjoyed by the audience!
Many thanks to everyone who sponsored Pam for her ride. She is now collecting sponsor money, and it can either be given directly to Pam,
or handed in at Reception. All money will go to the Mid Cheshire group, making a huge difference to both riders and horses.
