On Wednesday 28th May five of our Pony Club members became the first Mobberley riders to pass their 'C' Test! Jamie Duffill,
Jenny Flynn, Alexa Holland, Kristen Holland and Claudia Ryan have all been working extremely hard at both their riding and
their horse care knowledge, and it all paid off on the day.
Examiner Louise Shepherd very kindly made the trip from North Wales to
test our five, and we were glad we did not disappoint her! Each rider had to ride in the arena and the field, jump a course of fences,
and show a gallop. The horse care involved correct handling and grooming procedures and care of a grass kept pony amongst other things.
We were very proud of all five candidates. Both they and their ponies were beautifully turned out. Flint, Prince, Tucker, Benny and Rosie behaved impeccably,
and looked smart all plaited up. Louise was very impressed with all five candidates, and complimented Emma on her thorough training too!
We would like to say a huge WELL DONE to our riders, you are a credit to MRS! Also a big thank you to Louise Shepherd for her time and encouragement. We hope to organise
another 'C' testing day during the summer months for those who have been in training all year, and for Jamie, Jenny, Alexa, Kristen and Claudia it's time to start working towards the 'C+'!
