We held our first Pony Club Inter-Centre showjumping competition over the October half term holidays,
against Foxes Riding School from the Wirral.
Our team members were Maxine Potter, Darrah Swift, Ashleigh Buchanan, Emily Norris and Rachel McDermott. Unfortunately Rachel was
unable to attend, but the remaining four riders rode fantastically, competing on two days both at Foxes and at home.

We hosted the first competition here at Mobberley on Monday 23rd October. Each rider had to jump two rounds on two different horses,
with the competition going into a jump-off if the scores were equal.
Both teams rode extremely well, with only four faults each! The Foxes team of Carl, Claire, Yvonne and Laura were not
deterred by riding strange horses for the first time, and jumped each round with ease. In the jump-off Laura and Schuey managed
to just beat Maxine and Bruno by 0.6s, putting Foxes into first place!
Foxes Riding School hosted the second competition the day after, so we all had a day trip up to the Wirral. This time
it was the Mobberley team's turn to ride the strange horses, but I'm pleased to say that they rose to the challenge, winning
the competition with only 4 faults over two rounds! WELL DONE TEAM!
We thoroughly enjoyed our day out, and Foxes were great hosts for our first competition away from home. We can't wait to get
the next competition organised, so watch this space!
Anna and Sarah would like to say a big thank you to everybody who helped make the day run smoothly for our home competition, including supporters,
parents, helpers, and of course the team themselves! We would especially like to thank those who helped get the horses ready and plaited: Sarah C, Natalie Gregory,
Melissa Heywood, Gill and Ellie Maddock and Darrah and Ashleigh's mums between them made sure our ponies were clean and shiny, and in Bruno's case glittery as well!
Thanks are also due to the team and Sunday helpers Catherine and Jamie for getting the course ready and helping to move the showjumps!
